Ya, beasts is pretty much optional, I usually just pop fireward at the start of phase 1 (lasts 30 sec) gives you a nice dps boost if you get hit by fire, p2 if you get burning bile its a nice option to have. For Jaxx you can pop it as your running away with fel fire and at the start of the fight since the chain fire spell he does is gonna hit u eventually. Twins you don't need wards its up the entire fight and its somewhere around +1k spellpower , and as mentioned before anytime you get biting cold on Anub. Also, with speccing the 2 pts in frostwarding you will usually restore more mana than you use. This talent also procs off any shields that happen to be on you, priest shields, legendary mace, so make friends with preestie and you'll find this talent has more up time than you would think. I think you will find that most of the top raiding mages have 1-2 pts in this talent now that TotC has been out for a while. Anyhow, just some ideas.

Thoughts on FFB for Anub? Are you familar with using the spec?

Key bindings have not been reset up since changing to bartender, moved many of my spells around to different bars to adjust to the new set up. My computer couldn't handle UI mods till this month due to horrid processor/ram set up. As for the IA question I actually feel retarded for not even thinking about trying that out. Most part seems like it would make my DPS more RNG with a lot of wasted mana spamming frost/fire shields but even on fights like beasts where getting hit by fire or arctic breath could or couldn't happen I suppose as few as maybe 2 absorbs would make up for any points I take out of dps talents. The spec I have currently was the #2 most popular U.S. spec according to EJ at the time I took it, with the most popular having slow (not needed for raiders imo). I am always interested in anything that maybe boost my dps and twins just makes sense that IA would equal a large dps boost. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Solid app bro, and your gear and experience looks good. Just a couple of questions for you. Are the keybindings and setup you use in your UI pic the same for pvp and pve? If not, could you link your pve setup. Also, regarding your spec, I noticed you you have 0/3 in Incanters have you considered putting pts in this talent? This talent along with frost warding in the frost tree will allow you to increase your dps on most fights in ToC and allow you to use your wards more often, helping your survivability and your healers out (ex. fire ward-->beasts, Jaxx, twins (white balls(fire)), frost ward-->icehowl(not a real big deal), biting cold on anub (very helpful)). Last question, are you familar with FFB for heroic Anub? If we have only 2 mages available for H Anub I would imagine we would need both to be specced in FFB for add AOE.

That being said, his dps looks very good and consistent with his gear level, he dps'd all the appropriate targets, no silly deaths in reg ToC, and most of the items I mentioned are arbitrary. Just my two cents but I think he definitely warrants a trial.

Well, great gear, solid experience, can make our raid times, well spoken, a class we really do need... It all looked good until I looked at your achievements. It appears you still need 25m "Crazy Cat Lady" and "Iron Dwarf, Medium Rare" for your drake. Fuck me I hate those.

Other than the heinous achievements he'll make us do...again...I the app looks solid. Now if only my opinion mattered...

This is my current UI which I just updated to a couple of days ago after upgrading my computer a bit.


Why do you want to join Cursed with Awesome? I am looking for a serious raiding guild with a casual friendly environment that is actually in need of a mage. I am on west coast time so the raid times of this guild are actually better than my current guild which is a huge plus. Your guild is only slightly further than my current guild was before melt down so I will still be able to experience the work and thrill of that first Anub kill instead of just being carried through it.


List any guilds you were in recently and reasons for leaving:

My current guild is from the realm Emerald Dream, I have only been in that guild for about 3 months or so. I am not a guild hopper though and this would be my first server transfer and first faction change. I am currently an officer of my guild however our guild leader discovered he might need brain surgery about a month ago and has yet to be heard from. This makes keeping the guild running smoothly very difficult, we have had to build a new guild website, change vents but still do not have control of EP/GP mod or full guild bank control. After ticketing a GM for control of the guild the response from blizzard is not what we had hoped and most officers are in agreement that with the loss of our healing officers (and their legendary maces) we might be past the point of recovery. This is why I am seeking a new home.

My previous guild before that was Relax, believe we were in the U.S. top 100 at the time I left. I just didn't care for the way things were going and didn't like the drama that was being brought into the guild with new recruits and what not. I was there for about a year and completed most Ulduar hard modes, and some ToC clearing but left the week ToGC opened up. I am still friends with some players from that guild and have an officer who tells me to rejoin weekly but I don't believe in quitting and rejoining a guild multiple times. When I leave a guild it is for good.


List your past raiding experiences, pre-Wrath included. Try to be specific if your experience in a certain zone was limited in any way. If you have experience on another character, who and what class:
During Classic WoW I played a holy paly for PVE, cleared MC, ZG, AQ20 with just a few attempts into BWL and AQ40.
In Burning Crusade I respecced my holy paly to the protection tree and tanked for SSC, BT, Hyjal, ZA, Mag, Gruul and TK. BT and Hyjal were never fully cleared but I did obtain an Amani War Bear for my paladin.
Lich King is when i switched to PVE on my mage instead of my paly and have cleared all instances except ToGC which I am at 3/5. I am 2 hard modes away from my ironbound proto-drake which are Auriaya and Razorscale achievements. I know easy ones.. just never get groups who do them.


What are your typical playtimes? Can you make 75% of our raids? (Please note that 75% is the bare minimum required. We prefer closer to 90%+)
"Yes I can make 75%, I also log on quite a bit outside of raid times." This is an accurate statement for myself however I will more likely be one of those 90-100% raiders. I play most of the afternoon and well into the night normally and doubt I wold be late or MIA for any raid. I do understand however that I would be a new member and might have to sit for older members. I would post before any potential absences from raids but doubt it would happen due to the raid times being much better for me.

What spec do you plan to use for raiding? Explain your talent choices: I plan to stay Arcane, is is the spec I am the best geared for and can do the best dps and I love the control over my dps/mana use. I of course would be willing to respec if needed but believe it would significantly lower my dps and would need to pick up one or two new pieces of gear to adjust hit %.


Why should we take you? Sell yourself. I am a serious dedicated raider with fair gear and experience. I am willing to commit and work hard to become a valuable member of this guild. I work hard to make sure that I have the best gear/enchants/gems I possibly can including crafted gear soonest it is available. I believe I can be a top dps of your guild and will not be satisfied with my play until I regularly make the top 5 on every boss. I am mature, laid back and serious during raids but not afraid to joke around when not raiding. I work hard to help those who help me and try to fit in with a new guild. I also talked with Shadenfreude yesterday evening to get an idea of how the guild environment is and how the members get along and think I would have no problem making friends and not causing drama.

The previous officer in charge of WoL for my guild disappeared without uploading most of our logs. I set up a new WoL account for my guild this week and got a couple logs up, they are not ideal due to mass influx of new members I recruited but I think they are a fair representation of my current abilities.

Regarding gear and stats, what do you primarily focus on for your character? How do you make your gear choices? I make gear choices based off which piece will be the best possible upgrade next while maintaining a good balance. I research EJ forums and use rawr to double check what I think I should be doing. I understand for arcane hit>Sp>Haste>Crit is the order of importance but try to maintain a bit of balance so I don't over stack or undercut one stat too much.


What are your current professions and why did you choose them? Currently I am an Enchanter and a Tailor. I have had enchanting since day one on this toon and it has always been fairly beneficial. I dropped tailoring at LK launch for JC due to the dragon eye gems, after the prismatic color nurf and the tailoring cloak enchant buff I re-leveled tailoring cause it was valued as the best caster profession dps wise. I work to min/max as much as possible.


What is your offspec? Are you good at it and how good is your gear for it? Currently my offspec is a frost pvp spec for limited arena play with friends. My pvp gear is mediocre but not horrid.


Do you have a stable computer and connection? (what sort of latency do you play with, are you on a laptop or wireless connection) I play on a desktop PC, I have upgraded my motherboard, OS, Ram, Processor in the last two month and hope to upgrade to a better graphics card and possible get new hard drives for RAID setup. I play on a direct connect internet set up, nothing between me and my ISP modem, however my latency still seems to stay aroudn 200 no matter what I do. I rarely have my internet go down or DC during raids.


Are you over 18? Use this opportunity to tell us more about yourself: I am 27, I live on the west coast of the U.S.A. I rarely have anything that conflicts with my raid times even my family that lives nearby generally knows that I don't go to family dinners and what not on Raid days haha. Other than that anything this guild or the officers of this guild would like to know I have no secrets really.
